Our Story

Crosstrain is a brainchild of Siddharth Singh, who is the first Brown Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in India and a 14 Khan Grading, Silver Mongkol ‘Master’ in Muay Thai. Along with the above mentioned accolades Siddharth also has a very decorated track record as a professional fighter. He is India’s Highest Ranked Competitive Grappler, India’s only ADCC Taiwan and British BJJ Champion, Rank 4 in ACBJJ World Rankings and lastly 9 times Indian BJJ and Submission Grappling Champion.

The reason behind starting Crosstrain by Siddharth Singh was that he had seen the Mixed Martial Arts scene thrive in the U.K. and the U.S. and he genuinely believed if India had legitimate trainers to teach new age fighting systems like BJJ and Muay Thai, the same kind of fight scene can prosper in India.

Siddharth was always aware and cognizant of the fact that India is a land of warriors and that there is no dearth of fighters here. Alongside, Siddharth was also appalled by the women’s’ security issues in India, especially Delhi, so he wanted to play his part in the women’s empowerment movement in India by teaching them self-defense.

Since 2013, when Siddharth started to now, the Crosstrain Fight Team has grown in huge numbers with professional fighters like Gaurav Gulliya, Anshul Jubli and Punyajit Likharu to name a few have earned a number of accolades in the Indian and International fight scene under the guidance and mentorship of Siddharth Singh. Now Team Crosstrain is among the most successful fight teams in not only India but the whole of Asia.

How it all started

Although the reason behind starting Crosstrain Fight Club was to develop and nurture local Indian fighters and to give them a platform to show their dedication and hard work and in term achieve big things in life.

Siddharth within 5 years’ time managed to succeed in his endeavor of starting one of the best fight teams in Asia, but however he also realized that the fighter lifestyle was not something that was considered sustainable by a lot of Indians and once they dropped in for a trial class they would get really overwhelmed by the training regimen and the contact nature of the sport. Hence, not many people stayed back for more intense training.

Along with that a major loophole in lifestyle of the population of India today is the lack of movement and exercise as most of us have very long and hectic sedentary work lives and in general we have a lot on our minds that we do not prioritize our health.

After 5 years of teaching combat arts, Siddharth realized how beneficial these fight trainings and drills were for his members and how they blossomed into confident and fit individuals.

Hence, after doing some research and making some crucial observations Siddharth realized that everyone has different priorities and motivations in life, not everyone wants to be a fighter or live the fighter lifestyle. But one thing he noticed was that almost every individual in today’s world is cognizant of the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and a lot of research has been published on different types of workout routines that need not be hours long and still be beneficial.

So, keeping all the research, statistics and circumstances in mind, Siddharth came up with the idea of Crosstrain30, which in a nutshell is an individual socially isolated workout of 30 minutes with a number of MMA and BJJ exercises. Also, with the current COVID 19 Pandemic at hand this workout system is ideal and safe for people from all walks of life irrespective of age, sex and body types.

Our Philosophy Behind the Idea of Fitness

cfc-family

We at Crosstrain30 do not judge fitness on the basis of number of hours one devotes in the gym or a playground, nor do we judge fitness on the basis of aesthetics like 6 or 8 pack abs. We believe that fitness is ability to go through your day with the optimum amount of speed and agility, be it a home maker who does all the household chores, be it a middle school student who has an active school life or be it an elderly who just wants to go through the day without taking an obligation from someone else to do their normal work.

One doesn’t need to be a full time professional Athlete to stay fit, everyone mobile creature on this earth needs energy for their survival. More than Athletes we believe that fitness is necessary for people to be good at anything they want to do. We all experienced this during the pandemic, since a lot of us were working from home, tending to our children who were learning from home and alongside doing household chores as domestic helps were not to be entertained for a long time. This made all the people realize that it takes a fit body and mind to do these multiple tasks and do them in a repeated sustainable manner.

At Crosstrain30, we don’t endorse working out for hours at end. We keep ourselves up to date with all research being done in fitness field. Being acquainted with scientific knowledge we now know that short workouts can maintain ones metabolic and serotonin levels to go through the day effectively. Hence our workouts are customized, 30 min workouts with qualified and trained personnel guiding our clients.
